I've asked several different people with intimate knowledge of CBS EZ cue library, Twilight Zone, and library cues in general. So far, no soap except that the TWZone experts dont think it's from that series.
Well, I was listening to "Five Miles to Midnight" by Mikis Theodorakis, and there was a cue that was kind of similar, and so I was hoping that the mystery cue would show up, but it was not there.
I've noticed conservative talk show host Todd Schnitt uses this little piece of music when he plays a quote from some political figure who's not making sense . I almost fell out of my chair when I first heard him use it! I guess you could email his show. He / they might have to know who they are playing on their national radio show.
"The CBS Radio Mystery Theater" was a last gasp attempt to revive network radio drama in the US (1974-82). ".
The problem with the show was they attempted to IMITATE Golden Age radio shows.
They should have produced something that was contemporary, not nostalgic. All you have to do is listen to the great BBC radio dramas of SHERLOCK HOLMES etc. to hear how it is done right bruce
ps if you have Sirious XM Radio, the Radio Classics channel occasionally plays an episode from this revival.
Anyone ever hear the radio adaptions of TWILIGHT ZONE scripts? OMG The music editor simply splattered Herrman's music all over each episode with absolutely no attention paid to the storyline. SO, YOU WOULD HAVE A LIGHTHEARTED EPISODE LIKE " the chaser" SCORED WITH HERRMAN'S MOST morose, downbeat music!
If you are referring to " The Twilight Zone Radio Dramas " then yes. I have the phone app. To my ears it sounds like the music is of a high quality source. Sounds really good to me. If they have the rights to the CBS music library it seems they could've really done a fantastic job of spotting musical cues.

Yeah, they are the original cues, probably taken from the Silva TZ cd. It is not the quality of the music but the appropriateness. They simply put no effort whatsoever into spotting the cues. brm
