Right on the mark, Dylan. Couldn't have said it better. He's become one of my favourite composers and I look forward to each new work. Those Frenchies sure know how to write!

Right on the mark, Dylan. Couldn't have said it better. He's become one of my favourite composers and I look forward to each new work. Those Frenchies sure know how to write! I no longer look for great composers domestically (here in the US for me). They just don't seem to exist, or if they do they just take orchestration jobs instead of composing (i.e. Kevin Kaska). Thankfully we have guys like Rombi, Roque Banos, etc. paving a way for great scoring, even if it's not for widely-released films (yet). I'm a director (well, trying to be!) so I spend ample time prowling the Soundcloud pages and websites for the next generation of composers here in the US and by and large I'm hugely unimpressed with what I hear. Lots of Goldsmith-lite, Beltrami-lite, Zimmer-lite and very few display a GENUINE ear for melody, for invention, for orchestration. These Southern California institutions pump them out endlessly and most of them simply don't have "The Chops". I'd love to hear some of them try and write on the level of John Scott or the like - It just wouldn't be possible. I hope in my wildest dreams to one day be able to work with Rombi, Banos, Talgorn, Michiru Oshima - The 'young' composers of today who really, truly "get it" and no how to not only craft amazing themes but also orchestrate in superb, colorful, intricate ways.

Another Rombi winner. So beautiful, so melodic - a wonderful album and the source music works nicely in the body of the album.
