Kind of surprised there is not chatter about this latest Howard release. I for one ordered this after hearing the samples. My favorite Howard era... Sounds right up there with Falling Down and Fugitive. Thanks Lala.

I'm surprised nobody is talking about Field of Lost Shoes. I'd never heard of this film, but the samples sound amazing. I ordered it as soon as I listened to them. I can't wait to hear the entire score. I'm so glad LLL was able to release this score on CD, and at a very reasonable price, too.

Samples sound amazing, and I am very excited about this release. Hard to tell yet if it will stand apart as a superior JNH 90's thriller score or one of his middle-of-the-road standard thriller scores, but the samples are intriguing.

Loved hearing that electronic sound that resembles snapping fingers, though -- a staple of JNH's 90's action/thriller scores, most notably The Fugitive. Vintage JNH rhythmic device.

Love Frederik's Green Lantern score. FOLS sounds quite nice. The description in the review is right on. I'll have to pick this up.

Guess which 1996 thriller just popped up on Netflix Streaming?

Extra point if you can guess what I'll be watching as soon as I get home....excited
to hear a "new" JNH action/suspenser, seems like the type of score you need to watch
the film first with.

FOLS sounds nice until I get to the Brian Tyler style sound in the later samples. Will have to give the full score a listen on Spotify before I buy the CD.

Dang, I'm just a few cues in, watching the film & can't wait to get my order on - this is a side of JNH I love, puts me in mind of Intersection, and some of Chris Youngs melancholy-ish horror/suspense writing.

How terribly amusing - I just happened to watch the film today and thought, why hasn't La La Land released this?

The film itself is truly horrible even worse than the 16% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. A career low for its director, but good performances from Miss Field, Mr. Harris and Mr. Sutherland, although the latter is just stuck with a cliche ridden villain role. But the supporting players are dreadful - it's kind of amazing actually.

But the Howard score is really fine so I'll be getting this for sure. I'm not always a fan, but I like him in this mode.

Got Field of Lost Shoes yesterday in the mail. Listened to it twice all the way through today. I must say, I highly recommend picking up this score. It's a great listen. For those thinking it's a Brian Tyler style of score, it's not anything like that. It sounds much more in the style of Thomas Newman. And in the liner notes, Frederik Wiedmann says that John Barry's Dances with Wolves was a big inspiration for him in writing this score. So, if you like Thomas Newman and if you like Dances with Wolves, you'll likely really enjoy this score. I sure do.
