CHIPs---Warner Bros. movie underway based on the tv cop series that starred Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada. Dax Shepard is the star/writer/director with Michael Pena co-starring. The series ran on NBC from 1977-1983.
SHAZAM!---Dwayne Johnson tweeted that he's playing Black Adam in the movie,
"Kneel at his feet or get crushed by his boot." My honor to become.. #BlackAdam #TheAntiHero #DCComics".
Also, Warner Bros. registered four website domain names which indicate these DC Comics movies are being developed: JusticeLeagueFilm.com, ShazamMovie.com, WonderWomanTheMovie.com, and AquamanMovie.com.
BLACK WIDOW---Robert Downey, Jr. said he supports a Black Widow standalone movie starring Scarlett Johansson and other Marvel superhero standalone movies, "It would be kind of more appropriate for a character that already was like a Black Widow (to lead a movie). It just seems like whatever Scarlett does people want to go see it...The funny thing is honestly at this point everyone deserves a franchise. I think Jeremy Renner is - when folks see the Avengers: Age of Ultron he's just a rockstar, a badass. And Ruffalo is pumped. He does great (work). I'd like to hear them talk even more seriously about a Hulk franchise, because that's been one of the toughest ones to get right. But I'm sure that my parent company is feeling expansive and and bold after the summer they've had."
PETER PAN LIVE!---photo released of Allison Williams (GIRLS), the daughter of NBC news anchor Brian Williams, as Peter Pan. The live telecast musical will premiere on December 4 with Christopher Walken co-starring.
THE POLITICIAN---comedy movie underway starring Vince Vaughn as a politician who gets caught in a prostitute scandal and flees with his accomplice as they are pursued by the FBI, drug dealers and US Marshals.
THE FAITH OF ANNA WALTERS---horror movie underway starring Elizabeth Rice (MAD MEN) And Matthew Settle (BAND OF BROTHERS) in which a female crime reporter travels to Asia to investigate her sister's suicide and encounters a supernatural evil.
GANG RELATED---Fox canceled the series. Netflix renewed HEMLOCK GROVE for its third and last season.
THE CHOICE---Ross Katz will direct the movie based on the Nicholas Sparks novel which will be filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.
