Nice little interview:

No word on whether or not he eats at Outback Steakhouse.

This is where Howard Shore writes his music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NONDCA_dmHA.

What a fantastic environment for creative work. No wonder his Lord of the Rings and Hobbit scores are so full of beauty.

Lovely video. Lovely piece of music.

It's his piano concerto "Ruin and Memory", performed by the China Philharmonic and pianist Lang Lang.

It was written for the 200th anniversary of Frederic Chopin and premiered in october 2010. The three movement concerto is about 30 minutes long.

Another performance was apparenty recorded and is rumored to be issued on CD sometime in the next future, along with Howard Shore's Cello Concerto : Mythic Gardens.
