Cinémusique, the film music shop created and runned by Jean Herz since 1989, has closed today... frown

Sorry to hear that.

I've never done any business with them, but it's always rather sad to see brick-and-mortar stores close. I'm old enough to have them be part of my life and my collecting habits.

Will they continue online?

Sorry to learn that. I always popped in on my visits to Paris. Great place for rare discs.

Sad news. I remember visiting Jean's shop prior to Morricone's concert in Paris at the Palais Du Congres many years ago with a few fellow Morriconians. It was a beautiful wee shop and in many respects an Aladdin's Cave. A couple of my colleagues left a decent amount of money in that shop that day :-)

Visited the shop on my first visit of Paris in 2005 and bought some Philippe Sarde discs there (and some others). Even at that time I could not believe that such a shop dedicated only to soundtracks could exist. It's sad to hear that it closes down.

Is there still any brick and mortar film music shop left ANYWHERE in the world??

It's been brought to my attention that there is still a specialist soundtrack retail shop in Rye High Street, England called Grammer School Records; the mail order business of which is Backtrack Records. I suspect that there are others doted around the world.
