the trailer says Soundtrack album available on Watertower... so hopefully we won't get another song compilation or has anyone heard anything already about possible score album?

The movie opens roughly three weeks from now, so it's about time...

Boy, I hope it's not a song CD and not just an MP3. Recently Watertower albums haven't been available until the day of download, but they typically offer a CD-R as well (which is better than nothing). I'm interested to hear what Giacchino comes up with for something outside of the typical action films he scores.

Movie looks great, can't wait for it...but they made a mistake not showing more Timothy Olyphant in the trailer IMO! I get he's not the focus of the film, but it is an ensemble piece and I think it would've been a smarter trailer to feature him for more than a profile shot in the pouring rain.

End rant. Just excited to see him back in features, he's tied up in the awesome Justified too often these days and when he's on the big screen I want to see what he's up to, trailers included!

End rant #2.

Looking forward to Giacchino's score!

smile

It looks worthy and cool to see this cast assembled .. Movie stars going to television and TV creating movie stars. Just.Too.Meta!

I hope MG answers me on his twitter account whether there will be a score release to this.

We don't even know if the music's going to be good yet!

Correction: You don't know if it's going to be good.

We know it will be good. It's Giacchino!

That's a great attitude, Ron!

A lot of FSM'ers had that attitude with Goldsmith until "Mr. Baseball" came out...

Some of us like Mr. Baseball, both the score and the movie. smile

I am a fan of Giacchino´s work.

This is his new score.

Why shouldn´t I be excited about it, even if I have not heard it yet?

Should I rather hope that the score will not be released because it could be disappointing?

I choose not to go through life like that.

And here I thought this thread was about someone finally giving up on thinking Giacchino would write an interesting score again. I'm envious really of all the fans who still get excited about new Giacchino soundtracks. I can't think of any current composers who excite me with every release.

Negativity will get you nowhere.

8 tracks? It looks like someone started to make a playlist but fell asleep.

Look at it this way: if the score isn't released, that just gives LLL something to put out in 20 years.

I'll still hold out hope. Soundtrack and score albums still can be released simultaneously.

Has anyone actually seen the film yet and can confirm how much score it includes?

It won't be his first unreleased score (50/50, that one for Albert Brooks).
