Anything else missing? I wish that Talking Heads song from the party scene was on the cd, but its accessible elsewhere.
There is a short cue when Joel and Lana are walking down to the pier eating ice cream. It starts right after she says the line “your friends have a lot of bonds”. It’s a slower/softer version of the “Love on a Real Train” theme. I assume it was specifically composed for the scene. Always wished that little piece of music was included on the soundtrack (as well as the Tangram intro piece).
I see it's still going for high prices, since people are skeptical about an expansion, what about a possible remaster?
It is? Thanks for the heads-up. I've been having it on my sales list for, like, practically nothing for several years now.
Agreed, Risky Business has always been very affordable to my knowledge. It's £8.99 on Amazon UK right now. It's the other TD soundtracks that go for silly prices (though the re-releases have started to change that trend).
Here's the track EO called "Return Of The Goodsens" but is officially Edinburgh Castle. Much of TD's film score material was merely edited or expanded versions from their live or album catalog.
The opening movie track "The dream is always the same" is slightly different in the movie version than the released version. And Love on a Real train is also different in the movie slightly. It would be nice to have the full movie versions complete along with songs. Its probably the best electronic score of its kind, timeless.
The mixes of those 2 songs differ on the vinyl version of the OST. ("Train" more than "Dream". These vinyl versions MIGHT be the movie mixes--I'm not sure.)
The movie opening mix is definitely different as they used a synthetic choir type "aaah" voice for The Dream is always the same.
For Love on a Real train, the actual train sequence bit, there's actually a few more synth chords played towards the end, and it seems to remove some of the sounds that are on the released version.
