This will happen eventually, as Disney would be throwing away a FORTUNE by not releasing the original, unaltered theatrical cuts. I imagine they'll do them strategically, though...maybe one OT film tied into the release of each of the new film trilogy.

As much as that sounds good, there is nothing guaranteed about it, and there is a fairly good chance that part of the buy out agreement with Lucasfilm was that they wouldn't do an original release. George has disdain for his own original creation it seems.
Frankly Disney has plenty of pipelines of cash coming from Lucasfilm properties over the next decade with StarWars pictures and Indy reboots. I would imagine that an original cut of this is pretty far down the list even if it was not blocked-out in the contract with George.
Well, Disney has included a clip of the first Star Wars film in the video below, which I suppose confirms that they've worked out a deal with Fox to distribute the film themselves. Whether it will be the unaltered original version or not remains to be seen.
I don't think that signifies anything. I'm sure they can use clips of the films they now own anyway they like. Doesn't mean they can distribute the entire film. Though I read Marvel and Fox (Or was it Sony) might be making an agreement on the use of Spider-Man for Avengers. So who knows?
