A documentary about the amazingly secretive MPAA. I was astonished.

Don't miss the deleted scenes, especially John Waters' having to explain his film title PECKER.

I am 'ravenous' for Documentaries and viewed this a couple of years ago. It was enlightening even though the group of people who decide on the ratings, were not. Not unlike The Supreme Court, (ANY Supreme Court), in that, they all have their own individual 'mind-sets' and they're all only human with prejudices like nearly everyone. Though it was seen some years ago, I remember someone finding out who ONE of the members was and following them, and observing their daily routines. What I came away with after it was over was (virtually) ANY SEX: BAD. and (virtually) ANY VIOLENCE: GOOD, (or way more acceptable.)

I saw this when it came out in a small theater. I was quite surprised by what it showed. A shame we still have the same system we do. But people are too worried about what could happen if we let things get out of control and government ended up with real censorship.

One very striking thing revealed in this documentary is how often female sexual pleasure (even fully clothed!) can get a film an NC-17 rating.
