count me in zoob. i would find the money for this! always a favourite, and quite an enjoyable film, espec scene where gene wilder as the rabbi gets the indians dancing.
I guess it's just this "computer age" mentality of I want everything right now and I don't want to wait. I hate when I get inpatient and want it all now. I need to chill.
Thanks everyone for your great responses. I wish I could put out FRISCO KID for you all!
So who wants DOC SAVAGE? C'mon hurry up now!
In the words of the immortal Cornelius, "Don't doddle!"
So, that's fifteen sales for sure. Those of us who've taken chances on comedy scores have learned the hard way - most of them people will just not buy, as truly silly as that is. I mean, Paternity is a great album - and it's David Shire - you think most people on this board can be bothered with it? No.
I watched the movie a few years ago and most of De Vol's scores including this do nothing for me. So I guess I am saying, release it for those who want it, but I would let it pass.
I'd put that on the front cover: "Kim Tong let this pass!"
I've advocated for this score's release several times here at the board over the years, and as a more recent thread here remarks, DeVol is underrepresented on CD. I'd be delighted to buy two of them (as I've promised before). I wind up buying most of Bruce's releases anyway. You could be making lots of new DeVol fans with this one.
