Every now and then I track down movies scored by John Scott, a composer I love dearly, just to see how some of his scores fit in context. I looked up 1997's WALKING THUNDER for said reason and could only find the trailer. I was immediately struck by the music over the opening and closing, a gorgeous, long-lined, Barry like composition for strings and horns. I KNOW I've heard it before somewhere, but I'll be damned if I know where. Here's the trailer:

Scott's score is cut from the same mold, but it's definitely not from the film's score itself. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any guidance!

Yea, I guess it does. Perhaps an unreleased gem of his...?

Figured I'd give this a bump. I've been scouring the APM music library for the better part of a week now trying to figure this one out using every variation of search terms I can think of. It does, indeed, sound a lot of like Scott's music but I certainly didn't find anything like it from him in there...

Two years later, this sweeping melody just popped into my head, so I guess it's time for a bump!
