MONDAY, AUGUST 4 RUSS AND ROGER GO BEYOND---Will Ferrell may play sexploitation director Russ Meyer in this movie about the making of Meyer's 1970 cult classic BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS. Meyer agreed to direct the movie for 20th Century Fox, but only if film critic Roger Ebert would write the script because Ebert was one of the few film critics who liked his movies. Edgar Wright has expressed an interest in directing the movie. TED 2---William Shatner will have a cameo in the sequel as himself at a superhero fan convention featuring TJ HOOKER and gets annoyed when the fans only want to talk about STAR TREK. BIG EYES---photo released of Amy Adams starring in the Tim Burton movie about artist Margaret Keane whose husband took credit for her successful big-eyed children art of the 1950s and 1960s. Christoph Waltz and Terence Stamp also star. THE WALKING DEAD---Robert Kirkman commented on characters being killed off, "I got a pretty good idea when all of them are dying...to a certain extent, if we follow the comic, [I know] possibly even more [deaths] than [showrunner] Scott [Gimple] knows. It's really rough. Doing the comic, it was fine because it was just lines on a paper. Whatever. We're killing that guy. Cool. But the show, it sucks because we all work together, we hang out, and have a great time. But, you know, the story's gotta get done and people gots to die, as I like to say. It's pretty rough.” DOCTOR WHO---Steven Moffat commented on Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor Who and his relationship with fans, "Peter will be very much the Doctor. He has a tremendous ability with throwaway humor, and a lot of it is around the fact that sometimes he is terribly rude. I think kids will think he is the rude Doctor. You might want to cuddle him, but he really will resist." He said about Clara Oswald and the new Doctor versus the previous Doctor, "From a Doctor (Matt Smith) she could sort of control because he had a crush on her, she has landed with a Doctor who barely registers at all that she is a girl." TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES---Megan Fox said about fans who are critical of the reboot movie, "Let me tell you something about those people. How much money did TRANSFORMERS 4 make? Exactly. Those people can complain - they all go to the theater. They’re gonna love it - and if they don’t love it, they can f--k off, and that’s the end of that." GHOSTBUSTERS---Paul Feig (BRIDESMAIDS) is reportedly in talks with Sony Pictures to direct an all-new reboot movie which, "Sources say the film will be a reboot focusing on female Ghostbusters." This would suggest Sony may have dropped the GHOSTBUSTERS 3 sequel in which the original Ghostbusters would pass the torch to a younger Ghostbusters team. THE JUNGLE BOOK---Bill Murray will provide the voice for Baloo. The movie cast includes Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba and Lupita Nyong'o. CSI: CYBER---Peter MacNicol (ALLY McBEAL) will co-star in the CBS CSI spin-off series as Stavros Sifter, Assistant Director of the FBI Cyber Crime Division. Patricia Arquette stars. CAPTAIN FANTASTIC---Viggo Mortensen, Frank Langella and Steve Zahn star in this movie about a man who takes his six children into the deep forest of the Pacific Northwest to raise them. SCHOOL OF ROCK---Nickelodeon ordered 13 episodes of the new series based on the movie. DEAD ISLAND---movie underway based on the zombie plague video game.
