..possibly next week.

Roger is a bit vague but he seemed to rule out it being Ten Commandments.
It will probably be Buck Rogers Series 2, chock-full of Bruce Broughton-y goodness.

Bring It smile

Well, a few weeks ago Doug did say he was working on the next volume of BR.

It's a pity if it's not Ten Commandments. It's been a long time since it was said to be 'coming soon'.
If those of us waiting for TC are to be disappointed again let's hope Intrada 'get on with it' and release this superb score in the near future.

Finally a collection of all four Airport scores?

edit: whoops. clue says it's a followup to a previous project.

As Roger said in an earlier thread, if it were easy, it would be out by now. Who knows why it's taking so long. But I am confident it has nothing to do with getting on with anything.

Jaws Quad.

Jaws would require more than four discs. The first film would need two, and maybe the third film as well if the album were reissued.

The upcoming set isn't related per the clues anyway.

tentatively jaw-dropping, that's for sure. But is it pants-dropping?

Probably its Buck Rogers (or maybe the unreleased scores of Amazing Stories - but those 14 episodes would probably not require 4-cds...), but (even if it is unlikely) it 'could' be a Jaws set if the released album of Jaws 3-D was considered the previous project. 4-cd could fit the film scores of the 4 films and the album of Jaws (as Jaws The Revenge is a short score).

Eh, that seems an awkward arrangement. The Jaws album and Jaws 4 score are at opposite ends of the series and don't belong on the same disc frankly. The former deserves its own plastic, just as it's already enjoyed for so many years. Plus the full series shouldn't be crammed together no matter how things are organized; truth be told, I'd rather see the four done individually, with two-disc sets for the first and third films. A clamshell doesn't feel right, though I'd welcome an empty box at the end.

Either way, I share your enthusiasm for seeing this happen both here and at the Intrada board. smile

What?? I'd much rather they took their damn sweet time over it and gave us what they (as film score fans themselves) consider to be the best possible representation!!

If it's taking time, it's taking time....that's the way it works....

Normally I find speculation threads too boring to even read to the end but since it started out with "It will probably be Buck Rogers Series 2, chock-full of Bruce Broughton-y goodness", it got my attention. So far Buck Rogers has not disappointed me, neither on DVD or on CD, and so I eagerly await set nr. 2.
While we're at continuing music releases of great 70s tv series: can we have more CHiPs please! The fact that FSM's production plant has closed doesn't mean that John & Ponch can't make more miles in the lasertabulous world of CDs.

Shouldn't this be a Buck Rogers Season 1 Part 2 first? Still a lot of good to nice music unreleased from the first year...

Here's what Doug had to say back in October about the possibility of more music from Season One:

This first season set gets us started and the second season scores are a must for the strong musical content... but a further set featuring J.J. Johnson, Richard Markowitz and the others becomes dependent on the success of these first two sets.

We're game. Hopefully you are, too. wink

Seconded! I'd especially like some a set of efforts from season one (pre Silvestri). I doubt it will happen, but I can still dream.
