I'm thinking this will have people in it, or it could get boring, Kong fighting various dinosaurs.

Well it will have natives! wink I really don't know what you can do with this property that hasn't already been done in Jackson's Kong. Seems studios are just jumping on the giant monsters bandwagon with Pacific Rim, (Still sounds naughty to me) Godzilla, and Jurassic Park.

Edit: Actually I hope they make him more like a Bipedal man/ape monster opposed to the giant gorilla in Jackson's Kong.

The book was actually pretty damned interesting... now only to have Tim Burton f*ck it up.

Swell.

I liked it, & when I look at the Blu I always look at the extended version.

Although something about CGI geometry and life-like aspects have something tell-tale about them, many of the Kong facial/body prima donna-ism's are quite remarkable. Maybe the 'Order Of The Virtual Armature' should be bestowed to Andy Serkis for services rendered to live action motion capture.

To answer the question, I saw it in a cinema and hadn't been aware it even existed until it went on general release. Was I sure surprised to find out it was made upside-down! wink

Nope, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Jack Black was a bad choice, but the movie still works very well, and has a wonderful score to boot.

I was disappointed. Way to bloated. Some bad choices actor wise. (I actually loved Jack Black)
While Kong's CGI was amazing, I didn't like him being nothing more than an over sized ape. The dino stampede was awfully rendered in CGI. The jungle was too busy and didn't look real. A serviceable score by JNH, but obviously rushed and not as dynamic as it could have been. Really a mixed bag of goods.

Swear to God, I'd actually be interested in seeing this.

Definitely a mixed bag. Great FX but it had things that didn't make sense. And they did not show how the hell they got Kong onto that little yacht — which should've sunk! LOL! '76 Kong with Lange & Bridges rules.
