I think the detractors on this movie are full of it. Go watch that YouTube faux-cable-news commercial for Captain America: Civil War and leave us real movie fans alone. No need to attack us. I consider myself a "real movie fan" and watch much more independent and smaller films than big studio blockbusters. And the problems I have with this film are not a lack of action or the fact that the real-life events it is based on don't lend themselves to a simple, generic story arc. And I mentioned several times in this thread that there are aspects about the film that I liked, and that as a whole, I enjoyed the film. But nevertheless, to me, personally, entirely subjectively, these well-crafted elements didn't click and fell together to create the true epic that it could have been. As for the music, I admit that I enjoy the (neo-)romantic take on musical depictions of the sea and seafaring over all others, so simply for matters of taste, I didn't warm to this score enough as heard in the movie to shell out money for a CD-R of the score.
