A lot of songs got cut from the CAMELOT movie. Others were slowed down, such as "The Merry Month of May," or made deadly serious, such as "What Do the Simple Folk Do?" David Hemmings, well cast in the movie, has only one sly musical flourish, when, after his introduction to his supposed father, Arthur, leaps up on the throne, with his legs over one of the arms. And that's that for him musically. (Wonder if they ever even considered him doing the song for the movie, let alone if it was recorded. Would love a full set of the tracks to that movie, with all the background score, let alone alternates and deleted songs.) Mr. McDowall , by the way, was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in CLEOPATRA.
