So, we know th emaster tapes exist.

We know that the dynamic duo of Jerry Goldsmith and Morton Stevens composed well over fourteen hours of music for their numerous episodes and we also know that there are the isolated music/fx tracks on the DVD release of the series (14 discs!).

So, let's get the music that got Jerry noticed (by the head of music at Fox Pictures, Alfred Newman, no less) out on disc without the screams and gunshots and car doors slamming!

Grateful what's present on the DVDs doesn't contain dialogue, but still, the music (and just the music) in pristine condition would be glorious!!

Just asking the powers that be to consider it!!

Thank you and have a WONDERFUL day!

Re-recording is being considered and YOU can chose either score that has been released before in complete version and very good quality (despite some minor performance issues) or world premiere recording of THRILLER.

Choice is yours.
Only a few days left to vote... then it's up to Kickstarter campaign to try to finance whole thing...

Sadly (I voted for Thriller in the above survey) if my alternate survey here (with more choices) is anything to go by, there are many more people interested in a complete new Lionheart recording than Thriller:

I'll be revealing the results soon so vote if you've a mind to!

I voted for Black Patch / Face of the Fugitive in your survey... it's good to start with more options and slowly eliminate them one by one, although it was a tough choice between this, Thriller and Shamus / Pursuit...

but hopefully the initial Thriller case will turn out to be a success, will make it to the finish line and finally prove that Kickstarting can actually work to finance these sort of things and we'll see more re-recordings in the future...

I'd love to see more Steiner re-recorded by Stromberg/Morgan, so perhaps they might consider trying Kickstarter too if Thriller/Lionheart/whatever proves to be successful.

I second your wish. The original recording of Thriller deserves a first-rate release and we all hope Varèse will do the job as for The Alfred Hitchcock Hour project in the past.

Yeah, I too wish that the Tribute team would consider trying Kickstarter to fund another recording or two...
