I'm looking for movies that take place on the beach or on water and involve beautiful girls in bikinis. No, not porn. All the Emannuelle films qualify but I'm looking for legit films but not that Annette Funicello crap.

For example:

1975 Waves of Lust (Italy) -- directed by Ruggero Deodato.
1977 The Deep -- directed by Peter Yates.
1980 The Blue Lagoon -- directed by Randall Kleiser.
1984 Blame It On Rio -- directed by Stanley Donen.
1984 Year of the Jellyfish (France) -- directed by Christopher Frank. Ah, the French!
2005 Into the Blue -- directed by John Stockwell.
2009 Into the Blue 2: the Reef -- directed by Stephen Herek. I like this one a lot.

There must be a lot more.

Water, boats, bikinis, beaches, some scuba diving.

Any suggestions?

I don't know but how about the first bikini music video from 1966:

That's quite different from just two years before where dancers wore business office clothes - 1964:

1984 Blame It On Rio -- directed by Stanley Donen.

Oh, what a silly, dog of a movie that was. I was at a screening where Donen attended. He was unapologetic, but then it got a very good response from the audience.

The recent remake of PIRANHA that was announced here, touting an "underwater lesbian scene", with a picture of a young babe in required article of clothing.

I think it might qualify.

(If you watch it, let me know where exactly Underwater Lesbians live. The earth is 4/5 ocean, so it could be anywhere! big grin )

And he shouldn't be. It's a hilarious film.

Hard Ticket To Hawaii

I see by the same folks that did Malibu Express. Both a strange mix of T&A and ghoulish gore.

Yep. But far more fun. Rocket launchers and killer toilet snakes. Oh my. smile

Fathom? Flint films? Thunderball! One million years b.c?

I see my good friend Bill has introduced the idea of Bond films fitting this criterion. I'd like to suggest in addition to Thunderball, the following:

Doctor No
You Only Live Twice
Diamonds Are Forever
The Man With the Golden Gun
Die Another Day

all of which provide either protracted or memorable (or both) bikini-related scenes.

If I had to pick a favourite out of the above from a bikini point of view, it'd probably be You Only Live Twice.

When I Googled this movie I saw a still with a Malibu Express movie poster on the wall!

I think you mean "as he should be", since you were like the people just in front of me, who were jumping up out of their seats with laughter. No lie.

Me, I was rolling my eyes.

I enjoyed Stanley Donen's romantic comedy BLAME IT ON RIO when it was new. It pushed boundaries a little further than they'd been pushed in Hollywood films in awhile. I watched it again recently and it holds up fine. Very 1980s.

Thanks, everyone, for contributing.

Oh yeah -- Blue Crush (2002) directed by John Stockwell.

Are there extra points for bikinis found in the most unlikely of places and circumstances?
