Surprised no one else has mentioned this, but Goldeneye's an obvious one to me.

Not sure if this counts as a "song" per se, but the rest of Goldsmith's Sum of All Fears score is completely overshadowed by the opening choral The Mission cue.

Chris.

I agree with you about Goldeneye AND Sum of All Fears.

I'm gotta get smacked in the mouth for this, but "Ghostbusters." The songs are so fun and add a great deal to the film, but when I got the CD score, I was really bored by it. It then dawned on me that of all of the music I remembered from the movie, none of it came from Elmer Bernstein ... except for the one moment when they're all powering up and gonna "show this bitch how we do things downtown." Other than that, a total bummer I never listen to.

Absolutely true. The Ghostbuster’s theme and Dana’s theme (both on the album) were probably plenty.
Cleanin’ Up the Town is wonderful.

BEN-72- A gorgeous ballad by WALTER SCHARF, nicely sung by a young MICHAEL JACKSON. Score, run of the mill.

The Green Slime (US version) - With all due respect to Mr. Tsushima, I think Charles Fox's theme song was better than the score.

TOWN WITHOUT PITY- 60 DIMITRI TIOMKIN- Score was acceptable but Dimitri's song sung by GENE PITNEY is a classic.

I found the songs from The Beach (New Order, Moby...) better than Badalamenti's score.

Goldenthal's score from Heat is good, but the songs (Terje Rypdal, Moby...) were better.

Second The Beach! One of my fave song collections.

No way!
great score by AB

I find the GoldenEye song by Tina Turner not especially good.

And the best thing about Sum Of All Fears is the song produced by Trevor Horn and composed by Goldsmith.
