I was perusing SAE this morning, as is my wont, and what should I see now available is the CD of Angelo Lavagnino's score to JOVANKA E LE ALTRE (FIVE BRANDED WOMEN), due to be released in "mid-July." So, naturally, I ordered it on the spot. Even though I've never seen this film, though I do remember seeing the preview for it a the Sewickley Theatre, way back in the 60's sometime, I have read enough praise for the score, and have collected a number of Lavagnino scores I appreciate, to warrant ordering it immediately.

I tried to resurrect the previous thread about this, but have been unable to discover it.

As they say in one a memorable Donald Duck cartoon, "Blame It on the Samba." Ha ha.

Sorry. Meant for this to be over in the General Discussion threads.

Apologies.

No official release date is listed within soundtrackcollector.com, but mid-July 2014 it was. smile

Here is the page on Lavagnino's JOVANKA on Cometa:

http://www.cometaedizionimusicali.it/jovanka%20e%20le%20altre.htm

I got this CD a few days ago, and the runtime duration is 38:42 with the one extra track at the end.
The website's runtime must be for the LP without the bonus cue.
Also, the content is in stereo! (the album does not indicate stereo, strangely).

A thoroughly mesmerizing music score! Recommended.

welllllll, i thnk we can slip the odd score thread in, if no ones looking.
espec an italian one.

general discussion - or as jim calls it - the kiddie forum, seems to have been overrun with people under 21, so i feel safer this side of the board!
