Milan Records will release a score album for Paul Feig’s action comedy Spy. Spy stars Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Allison Janney, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Miranda Hart and Jude Law. The movie follows an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst who volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer and prevent a global disaster. Got a good feeling about this score. Cool cover, too.

with that cover I was expecting something more 60's... something cool... but it rather sounds like David Arnold's bonds.

I quite like what I am hearing so far and with Theodore Shapiro on board it's pretty certain there will be some retro vibe here and there... and I am definitely glad to hear this is another awesome large scale score which is much more serious than the movie this accompanies. Should a great listen.

The CD can't come soon enough smile

Except for the over-the-top vulgar language, this movie was an absolute hoot. I never stopped laughing. Melissa if a riot and Stratham totally satirizes his previous roles.

As previous reviews stated, Shapiro did a marvelous "Bondian" score. It was so much fun to hear his John Barry-James Bond riffs and orchestrations. Even the opening credits were Bondian with a song and animated women and guns. Great listening fun.
