It seems like posting or even just clicking on a post to see it, is taking longer and longer...and the other day I got a "time out" message. What gives? It's like working on dial-up. :/
Speaking of this board and how slow it is, what was the reason for it? Zimmer? His clones? Fans of his clones? It's free for us and thus we should not ask? What?
The board works. I wouldn't push it; we're lucky it's still here.
The only thing that's strange is if I log out but remain on-site and continue browsing threads the odds are that whole chunks of entries will disappear from direct view, or there's just an empty space with no threads showing at all.
It would be interesting to know how many gigabytes worth of 'stuff' has accumulated since the whole thing began. I wonder how the database of 'blogs past' is archived and how that relates to whatever is current? What percentage of that mass of information is regarded as a useful chronicle of user experience for the data-miners out there?

Good question.
I'd also love to see some statistics for the board and the membership, if such a thing is easily available.
But at this point, I'm too afraid to say anything negative about the interface, as it's a rather sensitive issue for Lukas. He pays this thing out of his own pocket -- every piece of update or repair presumably being expensive -- and although I won't pretend to speak for him, I sense a feeling that he'd rather have it taken over by someone else, were it possible.
