Yes I will be there! It promises to be a great evening!

Surprised this has not resulted in more discussion.

There's another thread on the concert here: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=102024&forumID=1&archive=0

Still not a lot of discussion though.

Anyway, I'll be there. This will be my first film music concert. I can't imagine a better first experience than seeing David Arnold conduct live in London. Hopefully he'll bring out the guitar for the James Bond theme and sing a song or two himself. Given Arnold's oeuvre and his personality, there is no way this concert can disappoint.

Yes I saw that thread and it is very low on comments.

I wonder if he will conduct or will Nicholas Dodd do the honours?

Can't wait! Really looking forward to hearing his scores live!

Just having him do his score for INDEPENDENCE DAY-96- would be worth it.

David Arnold will NOT be conducting but will be perfoming during the concert

Yes, that makes sense. It was a brain lapse on my part.

I am curious though, as you are, Brendon, if Nicholas Dodd will be there.

I saw David Arnold conduct at the Royal Albert Hall in London back in 2010 - he'd organised a charity event with guests such as John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams, Craig Armstrong, Anne Dudley, George Fenton, Michael Nyman and many more. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Arnold conducted the End Titles from 'Independence Day' and an instrumental of the theme song from 'Casino Royale'. Suffice to say the performances were amazing - full of energy and excitement. If it's anything like that, you guys are in for a treat!

Actually Arnold only conducted the Casino Royale theme that night. Can't remember who conducted the ID4 but was not Dodd.

Great concert though. Powell's HTTYD was the highlight for me.

Haven't logged on here in 4 years (why the heck is my username 'spiderman'? how embarrassing), but there's still enough film music fandom in me that I had to make the 5,000+ mile trip across the pond to see this (that, and I really needed to take my wife on a proper date anyway).

Simply put, the scores to Independence Day, Tomorrow Never Dies and Last of the Dogmen were a massive influence on my musical life and the chance to now, 20 years later, see a concert celebrating those scores and the man responsible for them is something too good to pass up, no matter how far the distance.

So I'll be the one in Row M on the center aisle of the front stalls grinning like an idiot.

Brendan Anderson, (secretly hoping for a "Musketeer Main Titles" encore)

p.s. great teaser concert preview on the site today Tim Burden - thanks for that!

Glad to see people coming from even farer than me !
I'll be on row C in the middle and the little kid still inside me will surely be amazed to finally hear his favorite composer live.

2 days left !

A bunch of us.. Also Barry fans (naturally) will be meeting in the stage bar upstairs at the Festival Hall prior. We ought to wear badges! Maybe just saying FSM or something? Then we can start up a chat.

Only 14 hours to go! I will be in Balcony A!

I heard ID played at Hollywood In Vienna in October and although it was an abbreviated version of the end title it sounded fantastic!

Would love to hear Last of the Dogmen live as well.
