pssst--hey Ray, let me take a page from Thor and use this time to ask if you saw a response from me to you on an old thread re a flick's restoration or something you were involved in. I can't remember the flick and can't find the thread! It was maybe a couple months ago. (creeping pre-senior moments lately sheesh)
Here is the review of MARTY on Blu-ray from the reviews at The Blu-ray forum. Since I've already ordered my copy from Amazon, it's too late to back out now. But this review makes me want to order the original Marty dvd. I won't be ordering any other titles from Kino Lorber on Blu ray though and just stick with the original dvd's of those titles such as 'Separate Tables', 'On the Beach' etc. And I'm only speaking for myself on this matter. But the aspect ratio of Marty is a big topic in this review below.

I went ahead and upgraded my copy of The Scalphunters after reading reviews of the blu-ray. I'm aware Kino-Lorber is releasing a ton of old MGM catalog titles and plan to check out the reviews thoroughly.

I agree with you Greg. If Kino Lorber give accurate aspect ratios to their upcoming releases and the reviews at The Blu ray forum give good reviews for those releases, then I'd consider purchasing the Blu ray versions. But their treatment of 'Marty' remains a blemish on their integrity, at least to me.

This whole Marty thing seems to be a major debacle on Kinos part. I'm also upgrading to the blu-ray of Duel At Diablo, as the original MGM SD DVD was non-anamorphic.
