Only a fanboy producer would fear the reaction of a composer when criticizing an album program.

For an unreleased album that this person was given out of the kindness of someone at Elliot's office and this is what he does?

It's called being RUDE AND A JERK.

Ford A. Thaxton

Being RUDE and a JERK? Now that's hypocrite coming from you.

I admit I was brutally honest, but there's nothing wrong with what I said. It's the programme that I have problem with, not the score itself. But what's the point arguing with a fool?

You just don't get it do you?

You just can't grasp that what you posted was just unfair, out of line and to be honest UNPROVABLE at this point.

Also, I'm sure the person who gave this to you would not be happy about you posting someone like this in a public forum?

But you just don't care, you are FANBOY, you must roar.

Get a life.

Lesson learnt - never engage fool in conversation!

On a side note, has anyone noticed resemblance between the penguin character and Mr. Faxton? Fascinating.

Is that some sort of threat from someone who as far as I can tell is hiding behind a screen name?

At this juncture, perhaps a short recess would be a good idea.
Just to regain some perspective.

I always speak my mind. Sometimes not necessarily with a high degree of tact.

Why can't you be nice and be like Ryan Keaveney? At least he's all grown up now.

Where the hell did that come from...!

And to keep it on topic, Nigel Westlake's BABE.

Explorers...listening to Intrada's marvelous expansion tonight made me appreciate how BUTCHERED the original MCA LP selection of cues was. I always thought the score was kind of so-so listening to the Varese CD released of the MCA album sequence, but hearing the complete score made me realize it was one of Goldsmith's best scores of the 80's.

Yeah, STRENUOUSLY disliked the Varese album, with obnoxious dialogue excerpts over everything and key cues missing. Would love to have a deluxe reissue of this (maybe with some of Goldsmith's rejected rough mock-ups as a bonus).

Actually now that I heard both, I've gone back to the old 30 minute program. Plays out much better and consistent in over all tone. The expansion is nice, but musical styles are all over the map.

Another one who ant even voters to pick a 'proper' composer. So the rat is smelt.

RETURN OF THE JEDI was a huge disappointment. No musical/symphonic flow, no development, strange and unfortunate selection of clues, apart from the fact that it was only a single LP album. So I agree with that choice.

Many Henry Mancini scores, where all the "meat" of the music was replaced with easy listening versions.

LOGAN’S RUN, where the symphonic arc was completely thrown out of the window and the cues seemed to have been arbitrarily ordered.

I was disappointed with the Original LP Releases of Goldsmith's GREMLINS, INNERSPACE and THE LONELY GUY. So much great score left off of those that was devoted instead to the songs that I'd venture to say none of us really cared about. I believe the Maestro really disliked those ones too.
