Count me in!
The question is, will Shore in thriller mode sell better than Shore in comedy mode? Will any label take the risk to find out?
Count me in as well, as to your question wether Shore in thriller mode sells better, I would have to think yes. I'm sure you are alluding to "She-Devil" not getting many sales, but in all honesty, is this the comedy score people remember from Shore? I think "Big" and "Mrs. Doubtfire" are more well known and perhaps accessible in that genre. I personally don't associate Howard Shore with comedy, for me before Lord of the Rings I knew his music mostly from thrillers, the Cronenberg & Fincher movies he scored as well as Silence of the Lambs, ... I would think these would do great in expanded fashion.
So please labels, consider doing Shore expansions!

Also, I wonder if there is anything forthcoming from Shore's own label. They announced to dig up from the archives but their "Vol. 1" came out some time ago.
The reissue of SOUL OF THE ULTIMATE NATION was actually "Collector's Edition Vol. 2", and the (slightly) expanded ED WOOD was "Collector's Edition Vol. 3".

(An aside: I didn't notice that a MAP TO THE STARS dowloadable "single" is available. It says that the full score is coming out on the label in early Autumn.* Hopefully that will be on a CD!

*Funny that it says Autumn rather than Fall. Do Canadians says Autumn? We do here in the UK, but I have gotten used to American labels saying Fall.
