This reminds me of Spielberg talking about the two Raiders themes that were combined as one to make the final version. That is how I think of the Jurassic Park music. Upon first hearing it and then subsequently, my impression is that it is very regal sounding music. I can't disentangle the front from the back. It is one. Anyway, Ludwig Van broke it down for us coherently thus :-
