Parenthetically I should note that Leonard Rosenman once called Kaper the finest pianist he knew (and Alexander Courage has told a few fun stories about Kaper in various interviews - such as Kaper's calling add9-chords "shoulder chords," which I believe is in Jeff Bond's "Music of Star Trek" book).    Posted:   Jun 8, 2014 - 4:43 PM     By:   sdtom   (Member) It is absolutely fantastic. DavidinBerkeley claims that David Raksin called them "shoulder chords" -- 4th post in http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=96929&archive=0 But Jeff Bond interviewed Alexander Courage (it's on page 66 in the book) who attributed it to Kaper.
