What kind of world do we live in when someone dares to talk about the score to Poltergeist III?
The real question is of couese did JG write music for this crap third film?

I do not think it would be bankable at all. I have a copy of an early release of this score (as well as Child's Play) and neither of them are easy on the ears. This score is mostly dissonant chord clusters, low drones, wordless "AH" choir sounds with high pitched (late 80s synth) strings and together just gives a resonance that literally could shatter glass (and mirrors). The end credits is the only time a real melody appears in the film, it would have been nice of that melody had appeared weaved through.
Now, I am not blaming the composer (as many people seem to do) because he was hired to fulfill a task and I am sure he gave them exactly what they asked for....crap. We have seen perfectly capable A-List Composers compose awful music and there have been less recognized composers compose incredible works. Unfortunately, P3 is more of a soundscape for a cold and soulless composition, drones, and muddy dissonant chord clusters. Geez, now I wonder if Renzetti perhaps did actually put some creative thought behind the score, lol.

Yeah me too, he sent me some stuff from Wanted dead or alive (Rutger Hauer movie), Child´s Play (many years before LLLR release) and some other stuff.
