STAR WARS: EPISODE VII---photos from an "uber-secret" facility in England show what appear to a new Millennium Falcon, a modernized X-Wing fighter and a creature (whose photo was released on the Abu Dhabi set) under construction.

TERMINATOR: GENESIS---James Cameron commented on his role in the reboot movie, "My goal in that was not to insinuate myself artistically but to try to make sure they stayed true to the Terminator character and the idea of Arnold being in it. Because he's a friend of mine and we've been through all the wars together and everything. And I wanted them to see the possibilities I saw for what they could do with this character.
...Arnold is very much front and center in the new Terminator films. So I might have had some tiny effect on it — but obviously they had to make the right financial and creative decisions themselves so I'm not trying to take credit for the film that they're making but that was my goal in being loosely attached to the film but I won't have any credit on it."
He commented on the two sequels being released in 3D, "Terminator 2 is a more polished film and, I think, it has a kind of timeless appeal. If there was someone who was interested in doing that, and we could make a good case for the business model like, perhaps let's say, it's never been on screens in China which in the next few years is about to become the biggest market for films worldwide. That alone might justify the cost of a conversion, which might be 6 or 7 million dollars. And then a 3D re-release might attract some eyeballs in North American and Europe and then the Chinese release, which would be the first release on the big screen, might pay for it."
Supposedly, the Terminator rights revert back to Cameron in 2019.

ALIEN---Sigourney Weaver commented on returning for another sequel, "Had we done a fifth one, I don’t doubt that her humanity would have prevailed. I do feel like there is more story to tell.
A lot of corporations are still characterized by the same kind of greed [as Weyland-Yutani]. It’s an idea that’s, unfortunately, very alive in our world.
I feel a longing from fans for the story to be finished. I could imagine a situation where we finish telling the story.
I don't think Alien belongs on Earth popping out of a haystack, which is where I was afraid it was going to go. I feel it should take place in the far reaches of the universe where no one in their right mind would go.
There are very few filmmakers that I can think of that I would want to entrust this to. But I can think of a couple... I feel there's a longing in certain groups of fans when I meet them for the story to be finished because we really left it up in the air and I feel a bit badly about that because I was part of that decision making process.
I didn't want to make four and five in a bundle. I think it's hard to make these films all in a big lump. You need time to sort of let things resonate so I can imagine a situation where we could at least finish telling her story.
I think that would be very satisfying at least to me — although I haven't done anything about it; but I can understand why that could happen and I certainly know young filmmakers who are interested in doing that. So we'll just have to see what happens."
