What did Joseph Bottoms call that cat? The cat from hell? Something like that. It was NOT a cuddly sort of cat and probably got what it deserved, but it was Bottoms' only company, so he was crushed when the shark got him.
I used to be able to stream that movie through Netflix and it was a pretty decent copy -- certainly better than what I have on a homemade VHS tape (who watches videotape anymore???). And there's been a lot of talk about the soundtrack CD, which some claim was taken from LP, but me, a dyed in the wool LP-hater, never noticed any LP surface noise the many times I've played the CD, even with headphones.
Are you referring to the Harkit CD release or something else? I was under the impression the Harkit definitely is a LP transfer, albeit a seemingly good one. I'm pretty sure all their Barry releases are LP transfers.

I'd say that it's pretty certain that Harkit (or Artemis before them) did not get the original ABC LP's master tapes from Universal Music Group.
