All the things you have to see just to listen to a composer's work...

I just saw this 1999 film starring Colin Firth on youtube. Romantic comedy/drama about a black woman and a white man I would call it. Absolutely nothing special about it. Mostly plain boring.

The score by Laferriere was quite disappointing too, nothing similar to his Jesus Of Montreal music here. African percussive style, a bit like Green Card without the synths, and some acoustic guitar/bass/accordion work.

Anyone here who have seen this film?

I'm surprised no one here seem to have seen this film.

Hello - I have just seen this movie today, actually. I agree that some parts were a little boring, but I did enjoy the chemistry between Colin Firth and Nia long. Yes, the music was flat and awkward, and the placement was choppy....but overall I did like the sentiment of the film.
