I have just listened first five tracks so far (because there is some pop and tics all of them) but on track 5 "The Picnic" the problem recur about every 3 second (0:12, 0:15, 0:18...). It is hard to miss if you listen to it little bit hight volume.

I can hear the same kind of tics on the sample track from Intradas web site "Main Title (Part2)" (very weak though it is just an mp3 clip) on timing 0:30, 0:34, 0:38, 0:42, 0:46.

I hear nothing untoward at the times indicated on track 5. I detect a couple of what sound to me like very slight instrument mechanical noises (so faint I wouldn't have heard them if I wasn't looking for them) at 19 seconds and 20 seconds. That's all. I hear no problems in "Main Title (Part 2)".
I'll give the rest a close listen later.

It's just odd to me that the original complaint prompted Intrada to repress the CD and correct the pops and clicks which they admitted were there. There were specific time stamps identified, but the overall pops and clicks didn't seem to be acknowledged beyond those. Then it was chalked up to a mastering anomaly. It's unfortunate that this is the case. The sound quality is indeed stunning, but the popping noises seem to exist alongside the sound field and can be irritating once you notice them. I have learned not to let it bother me. Night Crossing is quite a masterpiece!

Just to be clear -- we repressed the CD after removing the clicks that were a result of the master. The remaining clicks are inherent in the recording -- they are part of the soundfield and can't be removed.

Hi Roger,

Sorry, I meant no insult to you or your company. You have always been good to me as a customer and have given us all so much. Night Crossing is still a wonderful release no matter which way you slice it.

Gah I just dropped close to 60 bucks on First Blood I and II from Intrada. I should hold off on buying more due to paying college tuition fees....But...I just sampled this and...Wow.

It's one of those moments as an adult where you start looking around for an adult to help you lol. What do I do? I know I'll kick myself if I pass this up...So I might as well grab it now.

Stunning release of a stunning score.

Was after this for years up until Intrada did this re-release. One of Goldsmiths best and sad to see it on it's way out, guess it's just no longer selling.

Absolutely gorgeous.

My CD is flawless, just the glorious Goldsmith music. I may add that "Night Crossing" is one of the most magnificently beautiful scores ever written for the screen!

"The Edge" is the next Goldsmith score I want to get my hands on, but if this is going out, ehhhh...I'll consider.

After having the first two editions of this score, I was genuinely surprised how much more I enjoyed this new version, especially since I'm no audiophile. Very much worth picking up before it's gone.

Well, I've never seen the movie and I've never heard the score, not one moment of it, and so haven't bothered listening to the samples provided by Intrada.

But, I just ordered it.

Hope I like it when I get it. Most probably will. It's Goldsmith.

It's fabulous! Think The Blue Max with a touch of Capricorn One and you get the flavor.

If that's true, I should like it very much indeed.

It has officially been...ORDERED. Never seen the movie, but like I said before those samples just blew me away. I had to get it. I would kick myself later like I did with La La Land's release of The Edge. I saw the movie and listened to samples of the score on youtube long after it was O.O.P...I spent a while looking around Amazon and Ebay for a decent priced copy. I got lucky and found one, NEW on Amazon for around the same price LLL had been selling it for. I'm almost certain it was somebody who didn't realize they had an O.O.P item. Who was I to break their heart and tell them? I snatched it up haha.

Can't wait for this to get in. I've been enjoying both Rambo releases. Jerry Goldsmith is just in a league of his own no matter what genre he steps into.

I can't imagine that anyone would not love this score. The track called First Flight is one of the most gorgeous pieces of music ever composed in my opinion.

On that note. What are the stand out tracks I should look for? I'll give the whole thing a listen. But what are some of your guys and gals favorite tracks to this? It's always fun exploring new scores then matching them to the movie later on.

Ok, got it this morning, just four days after I ordered it -- super service from Intrada!

Haven't listened to it yet, but will in a couple hours. Now, you know what's going to happen next? I'm going to want to see the movie in order to know what the music underscores. But I see from my Maltin Guide and other sources that the film is only average, which is not surprising for a Disney movie from that era. I've never even seen the movie pop up on satellite or cable.
