I am surprised there has been no thread about this great new show featuring imho excellent score by Jeff Russo - lovely score cut from the same cloth as Burwell's but still fairly original work.
Anyone else watching the show or familiar with the composer? You can hear his main theme at the opening of this recent interview...

According the the comment from the composer the soundtrack should be released soon.

Watching the show, really enjoying it. Also love the score by Russo. Great news that a score album is in the works

The score stands out...it is great. As said, very much related to Burwell's Fargo ( the theme at least) but a strong dramatic score. Good to know an album is on the way!

Yes, I watched this too, very recently, and I found the closing theme really grabbed me (at 1:20), amazing 'minimal' sounds, very subtle.

Enjoying the show and love the music. A score that emotes something. Imagine that?!

Very much looking forward to this CD. The Series and the Score are such lovely homages to the original (I think my favorite black comedy of all time...). Great cast too! This and Abel Korzeniowski's score to Penny Dreadful are really wonderful additions to cable TV scoring right now!

Appreciate putting the track titles in spoiler quotes. The final is a week away. I'm guessing I shouldn't look until next Tuesday night.

This is a rare case for me, as I am actually expecting this release. A release from a composer I'd not heard of before this, and the music having been written in the 2010's, or even in the 2000's. I live musically in the past, mostly 1960 - 1990, but this was a pleasant surprise, at least what I heard in the series. Burwell's Fargo was an instant classic when I got it way back when. Russo's composition was nicely homageing that of Burwell, without being too similar, and some of the suspense music worked very well with picture.
So that's what I think. But I'm an idiot, and known for it.

I'm pretty sure that the last episode quoted music from the film, but I could be mistaken.

What I heard in the series was very pleasant and effective. Though surprised there's enough score for an album release. Looking forward to it.

Yes, it was the Fargo film theme that was used as the finale cue. A nice choice. Am not sure how this will play outside of the show, but it was very, very effective during the series.

Absolutely loved the series and its finale... what an amazing little speech by Bob Odenkirk.
The score CD can't come soon enough.

Has anyone received the CD yet and can confirm what sort of packaging it is?
