I was wondering how many soundtracks there are that are in sequence such that they tell the story of the film.
Some of the remastered Bonds do this if played in the correct order but what I like to do is sit down and play a soundtrack from start to finish but have it tell the story without having to programme the sequence.
Two spring to mind. 'Mission to Mars' by Morricone and 'Raise The Titanic' the COP version.

One such is Morricone's Sacco and Vanzetti. It helps that there are three parts of a fairly story-explicit ballad, wonderfully arranged and hauntingly sung by Joan Baez. Add to this the achingly beautiful Hopes of Freedom tracks, the Electric Chair interlude and the bittersweet closing anthem, and you should treat the cd as one big spoiler.
A longtime favourite score and a perfect representation on disc.
