I loved the original subtitle. Very appropriate. I guess it's not bad@ss enough for the studio heads. Oh well!

Agreed, the original was much better.

Am I the only one who stops reading when I get to the word "zombies"?

I am beginning to get to that eyes-glazing-over point with zombies... though they're nowhere nearly as overdone as, say, cops.

No. No you're not.

At least cops are versatile. They don't have the same old bag of tricks over and over again. You can make a very interesting character that just happens to be a cop. Zombies... well, there they are. Again.

No. No you're not.

If Max Brooks is actually involved in the writing though, it could turn out to be very good. His World War Z was a unique take on the Zombie genre and far surpassed the trashy film.

Also I can't understand the combination of director and writer for Ben Hur. How does the studio hire a writer who worked on 12 Years a Slave and then bring in the director who destroyed Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter's potential with his cheesy adaptation?

Agreed on both accounts. Max Brooks is very creative and am at least intrigued on what he has in store creatively. (I thought the movie version was quite well done, no matter how far it was from the original novel).

I cannot for the life of me see the connection between the chosen director and writer for Ben-Hur. It just boggles my mind. I don't see it in my head, and I wont see it in the theatre.

That doesn't bode well for the movie (McQuarrie I mean, not Chastain).

First Jem and now this? Is Mattel planning to film everything they own?

I want to see Ron Howard's icky and yet extremely popular daughter eaten alive by a T-rex.

I'll be there opening day.

Thanks in advance, Universal.
