and then we have to tag each file by hand.

It boggles me that more people don't retag their own music. The large majority of stuff I've bought figitally have horrible tags, and there's certainly NO consistency, except sometimes between ones in the same store.

I often make adjustments but tend not to replace them wholesale. It happens a bit at a time (or sometimes not at all)

And yes, as TerraEpon notes, supporting lossless over say CD is also about not having a house full of CDs, about being able to get releases on day of release rather than waiting for weeks for the post to arrive and many other reasons too.

Well, that wasn't my point at all. It was more in the fact that lossless allows flexibility that lossy doesn't give.

I was just agreeing with you that sound quality is not the only consideration for lossless digital. I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth, apologies if you thought I was.

Umm, back to the releases.

Dennis the Menace is fabulous!

I wasn't sure I was going to respond that well to an expansion of this, a semi-dreaded comedy score. I haven't listened to the original release in years.

But I wanted to start it over the minute the disc ended! (I even enjoyed going through the bonus cues, usually skip those.)

It's a great upgrade and an adorable cover. And though I'm not one to expel much breath complaining about "the (harrumph) current state of film music" - hearing this fabulously engaging and varied score makes me realize how much we miss this sort of thing these days.

Yes, it's so fabulous I have to say it twice.

Well, three times.
