Grand Budapest Hotel (iTunes). Even with low expectations I am still underwhelmed.

Perhaps we should start a Blind buys we adore thread. Much to say in that department.

I don't blind buy anymore, but I used to, & there's only a few discs where I got rid of them after just one play. I have a shelf of discs that I never listen to, but there's some great old scores there, & it's nice to own them. The only time I think about blind buying these days is when I get a good feeling about a release (usually Italian). I'm very lucky to have a lot of CD's of all kinds of music that I love, so don't feel the need to keep adding to them just for the sake of it. Still waiting for a soundtrack release that excites me this year, hopefully it won't be too long.

The Piano - I heard a suite and liked it, but then I bought the CD and most of it was both boring and noisy.
Fierce Creatures - Liked the movie, didn't paid much attention to the music, but hey, it was Goldsmith. Boring and uninspired
The Real McCoy - It was from the guy of Terminator. Bad
Stepmom (Williams) - Lifeless and boring

Fortunately all of them were cheap or second-hand

I've done TONS of these over the years, but I'll be damned if I can remember them all. It would be a loooong list. I still have some left in my collection that I'm trying to sell.

I remember getting "Dad" and "Once Around" by James Horner as a blind buys. After WOK, Land Before Time, etc I picked up anything he did. Was I in for a disappointment.
