On what to buy next?

So I will ask the trusted film score fans. If I had to buy one between these which is the best option?

1) Bernstein Ava Collection
2) Young Sherlock Holmes
3) Wyatt Earp from Lalaland
4) First Knight from Lalaland

Thanks

Wyatt Earp would be my recommendation. I have it and love it.

I'd go FIRST KNIGHT, because...

I love it to death, and just played it yesterday again in fact!

It's a beautiful set.

It's probably the closest to going out of print of the bunch.

Did I mention it's beautiful stuff?

Good luck, hard choices, all are good picks!
I just got WYATT in yesterday, but have not played
it yet.

Wyatt Earp or Young Sherlock Holmes. Can't go wrong with either one.

The best option is the one you've made in your mind while posting this silly thread. I look forward to your thread where you want us to choose what you'll be having for dinner later. roll eyes

The Bernstein, you get more scores for your buck.

They are all great scores but if I had to pick the best of the bunch it would be TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD and then you get 4 others plus a mess of themes. No brainer.

Wyatt Earp and First Knight are currently on sale for 20% off, the others are not.

They're all excellent choices and so it really comes down to personal preference. Who's your favorite composer? What's your favorite era of scores?

For me, personally, First Knight is the pick of the bunch... it's the only one I would say is an absolute must. But then, Goldsmith's my favorite composer so there ya go.

Chris.

If you genuinely like all of the options, then I would say that the Bernstein collection has the most value (especially for the Mockingbird and Wild Side recordings).

Yeah get the masterpiece First Knight while it's on such a great sale, and if you can swing Wyatt Earp which is also a masterpiece on the same sale get that too!

The Goldsmith and Bernstein are mandatory buys.

I can absolutely recommend Wyatt Earp. Since I'm not really into westerns it was a blind buy for me and a great one at that. Then again, I've never purchased a James Newton Howard score I didn't love.

Regarding dinner, I'm all for breakfast for dinner, but never in cereal form. Cereal is for when you're running late in the morning or too groggy to properly function. Go for a hearty plate of scrambled eggs with diced tomatoes and avocado and plenty of cracked pepper. Or better yet, try a bacon, mushroom, and spinach quiche. Pair with either red or white, or go the full breakfast route and fix yourself a screwdriver. Really, you can do better than just cereal.
