Back in the day when vinyl LP'S and cassette tapes ruled the music scene[70's into the 80's] before the CD took over, Was there ever a soundtrack that got released on cassette tape but not on vinyl?. As I remember they either just had an LP release or hand in hand they released the LP and the cassette tapes. If you check end credits on movies in that era you will see, available on MCA RECORDS OR TAPES ETC ETC. First hand I am trying to remember if I ever saw a cassette tape without a LP on a whole score. Any comments on this ?

I very much doubt it.
