Broughton and Small!
Can't go wrong with their stuff for me.
Excellent releases. Fine dramatic/action score from Broughton with a wonderful main theme.
I've never heard either of the Small scores, so getting to hear two BRAND NEW soundtracks by Mr Small is beyond cool.
Much appreciated Intrada smile

Fine releases I'm sure, but still nothing for me from Intrada this year.

Wow. Nothing all year? What title are you waiting for?

SCOTT

The Rescue. Marvy!

That cue on 'Double Feature' made me so intrigued to hear the rest of the score.

The Michael Small is a must for me. I've only been burned once on an unheard Small and that was KIDCO...just couldn't get into that score.
MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON and COMES A HORSEMAN are two of my favorite scores.

I'll buy anything composed by Michael Small. The most underrated silver age composer. These two scores are both gems. Hoping one day they find his tapes for NIGHT MOVES or restore it from the music stems.

POODLE SPRINGS is another unreleased Small treasure. Luckily, I have a copy of it.

Ha, who are you, Bette Davis? I hope I'm not being negative. So many great releases, but hardly any of the 15-20 hold-outs that I'm still waiting for, but that's just me, & I do have nearly all of my favourite soundtracks released, so it's probably just two (maybe three) soundtrack buys a year for me.

Fine releases. Especially Child's Play. Small is a great composer (Yes, pun intended).

And one has to love the irony that Jackman's Captain America gets a release with Small, no? They should have thrown in a David Shire-score for good measure :-)

oh my god!!!!!!!! where would I get the money to buy so many cds of my dear Broughton?? I have not been able to still buy THE THANKSGIVING PROMISE, SO I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER, YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES and Mr. Doug edits THE RESCUE. That sucks not having money and being unemployed.

From Roger Feigelson on the Intrada message board:

A couple of changes because the mail room is still swamped from our last releases and I need to show some mercy. We're moving The Rescue to the 29th to be with the Muppets double header. Gets us back to our two every two weeks and won't overload the system. I know you guys get impatient when orders get backed up (and for those that refrain from sending an email asking where you order is, we greatly appreciate it!).

Very effective use of Latin chorus, years before Goldsmith made it fashionable with THE OMEN.

But long after Lalo Schifrin did it with "Jazz Suite on the Mass Texts" and after the Electric Prunes and David Axelrod did "Mass in F Minor."

Not to mention John Barry in The Lion in Winter.

I'm actually surprised they have anything new after that insanely popular batch last time. But hey you gotta keep putting them out. I might bite on The Rescue.
