Meh, another over bloated ludicrous Hollywood spectacle. Truly awful writing. Endless action scenes which are totally uninvolving. Bucky just shows up on the mark every time, for no apparent reason.

No, Bucky aka The Winter Soldier aka "the asset" is dispatched every time to a particular coordinate. Obvious enough.

Cap gets shot three times in the back and still fights on. (He does bleed and feel pain. His internal organs are not bullet proof.) The only thing I could live with was the long drop down to the street. One could argue in a fantasy world Caps shield is made of super absorbent material.

No, he gets shot in the thigh, in the back and in his gut (not his head or heart), all of which are survivable. He's not exactly unprotected, and he IS the recipient of the Super Soldier Serum, remember? The shield is made of "super absorbent material," huh? Yeah, it's vibranium. That's practically been spelled out for you.

Fury can borrow through several feet of concrete in seconds.

Shocker that a device like that exists in a universe alongside a suit of electronics-enabled weaponized armor.

Fury's death is faked, when it was apparent Shield was over run with operative agents who's whole purpose was to make sure he was dead.

And? If they knew he was still alive, they would've kept looking for him and he was in recovery mode.

Black Widow invents some face hologram thing on the fly and can easily sneaks back onto base when the bad guys were one step away the whole time.

The image inducer is right out of the comics, along with the Widow's Bite and her bracelets. Her reputation is well-deserved. What part of "Marvel" don't you get?

Finally if Apple's idea of good product endorsement was that doofus Apple store associate, they sure wasted a lot of money in advertising. big grin

The movie's #1 for 3 weeks in a row and even fended off Rio 2, so don't lose any sleep over it.

I won't even bother to see the sequel, a load of action & a shed load of CGI, yawn. What made the first on great, is that it was set in the forties during the war, & it had a real 40's Republic Serials vibe to it, esp. with the baddy & the designs of his craft & weapons. It was like I was back in the late fifties seeing those great serials on Saturday morning.

Your loss. There isn't anywhere near as much CGI in CA:TWS as there is in Avengers. Not that much more than the first Cap movie, really, except for the Helicarriers and Falcon's flights. This movie probably has the best fight choreography in a Marvel Studios film so far.

Oh, only shot in the back, thigh and gut. Well that makes all the difference in the world! LOL The Super Soldier Serum makes him physically stronger not bullet proof. If BW had this great holographic face disguise, why didn't they use it the entire film to avoid detection? Even if you want to believe Fury had some instrument that can cut through several feet of concrete in seconds (without any noise, smoke, dust, mind you) He was still just beneath the surface. How did he get away? How did the Super Soldier always know exactly where to find CA? Yes the movie was number one for three weeks, and it also showed millions of ppl that Apple store associates are not playing with a full deck. The film is full of nonsense. Some can over look it, others like me cannot.

That's okay. Diff'rent strokes, as they say. The Star Bores prequels made yachtloads of dosh, but they suck unbearably. Avatar is an expensive and wholly unoriginal piece o' shit, but people plunked down their nickels over and over to see it again. Look at Iron Man 3. Over a billion dollars, but directed and co-written by Shane Black, there was so much wrong with it, I wouldn't know where to begin.

It's up to you to balance your plausibility-disbelief barometer. I never said Steve Rogers is bulletproof. You know who else isn't bulletproof? Martin Riggs. He got shot up a bunch at the end of Lethal Weapon 2. They made two more films, though. LOL!

The image inducer is an expensive piece of one-use-only kit that Widow may have just retrieved. The Winter Soldier "did not always know" where Cap was. Hydra knew how to locate Sitwell, and he was in the car with them. The attack on the airfield was where TWS showed up, but he didn't land right on Cap. And yeah, maybe an Apple store associate isn't playing with a full deck. Believe me, I've met those types. They crack me up. wink

Yes, LW jumped the shark big time! Riggs had more holes in him than a chunk of Swiss Cheese. That we can agree on. smile
