This appears to be the movie that never was. It doesn't appear in any list of Bogart films. Plus, VERTIGO was based on a work published in 1954. How was this film, made in the 40s, based on the same thing?

Of course, I now realize this is an April Fool's joke. I'm not exactly quick on the uptake, here, so you got me! This is the film where he plots to kill his nagging wife. I can't remember the name of it, but I know I saw this. Pretty good one!

How about Casablanca starring Alan Ladd & Hedy Lamarr... only this one's true. The Lux Radio Theater used to do radio versions of films, usually using the same stars that were in the film, but this time Bogart & Bergman were busy filming, so Ladd & Lamarr played the rolls.

I love this film! Never thought about the Vertigo similarity in that scene but it is quite striking. It is indeed on the Warner Archives label...'Conflict' with a terrific part for Sydney Greenstreet. Enthralling story with plenty of twists and turns right up to a surprise finish!

That was a cute exchange, for a minute I was saying now wait a minute. But a co -writer of mine years ago when we were putting together a volume of every genre film ever made, constantly stated, there is no really complete list. There will always be more then we realize. Generally speaking there is a lot of truth to that. So one should always be a little cautious when making a hasty remark like, CAN'T BE, NO WAY.Who knows what everyone has done with the camera? I believe John Carridine once remark I would be filming a scene one minute for one film and before I knew it I was doing another scene for another movie. Now there is a guy's filmography THAT will never really be complete. Matter of fact I know it won't ever be complete because a friend of mine has footage of him just before he passed on in Italy. This stuff has never been released and he and I was going to see what film we could do with it.I always told people since, JOHN DIED ON ME.

Sorry, couldn't resist...
And about your question : Plus, VERTIGO was based on a work published in 1954. How was this film, made in the 40s, based on the same thing? , I wrote an elaborate explanation on the Youtube description ! 
Now, joke aside, the similarity with a sequence in VERTIGO is somehow peculiar and I wanted to share it.
In a funny way.
Dang it, Angelillo! I've still got the hook stuck in my mouth! The line and sinker didn't take long to shake. I was totally unfamiliar with that movie. Glad I didn't post all those evil things I was thinking about Hitch!
