There's no information on the case except for copyright notices for IMC Music, which is a UK music production and engineering company, and Intermusic S.A., which is apparently a Swiss distributor.

This series has seriously gone crap for me between series 4 and 5.
I just watched the final ep of series 5 and I'm not sure I will bother returning for any more.
It's become painfully contrived and the stupidity of some of the writing is really starting to bug me.
Add to that it's gone REALLY slow and boring, the characters become more annoying with each passing week...well. I know it's getting bigger and bigger (record viewings, spin-off series) but for me the light has started to go out. frown

Funny that's how I felt during season 3 and the start of 4, wasn't a fan of the over the top woodbury and that dreadful prison set, once they got on the road again the show picked up again for me and I actually like the tension in Alexandria. Last sunday's finale wasn't a total home run for me, some clunky story lines that kept on going and going and a rather dumb death. But I did like the Morgan stuff and the new villains.

What I have been missing throughout season 5 is some highlight Bear McCreary moments, I didn't particularly notice any standout cues but perhaps when I revisit this season I will pay more attention.

ive been enjoying it and didnt miss an episode.
although it has suffered from that thing u.s writers do - established sensible characters go on the clonk. like the robots in westworld they malfunction for two of three episodes, and get into unnecessary scrapes, and you just want them eaten. The reverend has been an irritating character since he appeared. as have several people already at the new fortress.
while rick and his seasoned group show breathtaking restraint, the rest of us twitch at home, baffled why they dont do the expedient thing.

todays weakness or generosity or dodgy judgment is tomorrows zombie bite in your arm.
its about time they all learned it!!

I am getting really tired of the stupid mistakes these people make. I knew when the doors of the trailers opened at the supermarket, that a sh*tload of zekes would tumble out. So, why didn't Daryl know.

Stop being stupid, zombie survivors!

Only 1 season / 8 episodes of Stranger Things so far and we already have TWO score soundtracks at roughly 2.5 hours of music from the show (which is great). Now, here we are going into season 7 of The Walking Dead with over 80 episodes behind them and we haven’t seen squat as far as Bear’s music goes! Let alone, it’s one of the most popular shows on TV right now. AND, there are record labels out there that would love to produce it if given the chance!
Boggles the mind.

Okay, I’m done.

I'd be over the moon right now just with an explanation from AMC as to why they are not interested in releasing the original score. With the fan demand, I just don't see it.

I don't get it either. Makes no sense.

Exactly. Mr Robot gets 2 albums from one season, Fargo has a release per season, the new HBO series The Night Of has a score release, the new thriller When The Bough Breaks has a score release for John Frizzell, look at all the DC universe albums - and TWD gets zip.

It is bizarre, to say the least, especially in these current climes, where virtually EVERYTHING is released in some format or other.
I still watch the series. I don't enjoy it as much as those earlier years, but it plods along, I suppose.
I'm curious to see 'the cull' that will no doubt take place in this next series, as Negan makes his mark.

I originally thought that AMC maybe just flat-out refused to release score during the show's run, but I looked and Mad Men had several before it ended, and Halt and Catch Fire has an album out now. Breaking Bad had a score album, but it came out close to the end of the show's run, if not after.

I can't think of another zeitgeisty show quite like this in recent memory - maybe Game of Thrones, which has been afforded 6 CDs now. It's rare that film score has a lot of crossover value to people who aren't "film score people," but Bear has had that kind of following in the past with BSG (my brother in law, for instance, has all the volumes), and this show is huge. It's kind of baffling that AMC seems to refuse this when there is $$$ to be made.

This is AMC's MO to leave fans hanging for a score release *cough*season 6 cliffhanger*cough*.

It is baffling b/c AMC is one of the greediest networks.

Seems to me it's likely that Republic Records, which is putting out the song albums, has exclusive rights to any music releases for the show. And they don't do score albums.

And you might want to have that cough looked at.

I'm certainly inclined to believe that, given that there's no other sane reason.

I can see it now: Republic pays AMC for exclusive music rights, then decides they can't be bothered to release Bear's music. Shutting off a composer's entire musical output for a show just because you 'don't do score albums'.

There were some really nice pieces of music in Season 6, which i just watched. Wish i could remember the moments among the gore, but i did think there was some standout stuff in there. I'd be interested in a CD, depending on what they would pick to go on it.

The show itself is abysmally plotted, repetitive and often badly written. Characters personalities are flipping back and forth seemingly at random. Everyone acts idiotically, the in-world rules that have been established either make no sense or are forgotten by the writers. Every situation they get in is horribly engineered and frequently baffling.

But like a zombie i am compelled to watch on (apparently). Especially if its the only way i can hear the music.

Here's a recent interview with Bear about his recent work on Outlander and The Walking Dead:

Something MikeP said in another thread about the latest episode (series 7 opener) got me thinking.
HE'S RIGHT!!
What should have been a moment of tragedy and sadness became repulsive and repellent.
We weren't allowed to mourn the death of a major character because it was turned into 'torture porn', the very thing that has ruined many a horror film of late for me.
I know the series is brutal and shocking and it was probably doubly shocking because it had nothing to do with any of the 'walking dead'.
I also get that they have to set up this new 'bad guy' and show how callous and unreasonable he is, but I honestly think they crossed a line this week and I'm not sure how long I will continue to bother with the show in future.
I know people here in work who stopped watching the series when Tyreese was killed off. Their reasoning...what's the point in getting invested in ANY characters when they will just bump them off willy nilly (and some of the deaths of main characters have been VERY silly).
I'm sure it was a ratings winner and will continue to thrive, but I wonder how much longer I will bother with it.
Thoughts?

re the music. I think there was a glitch on the music track when it was shown on FOX in the UK. There was a weird distortion effect during some of the music that made it sound like the tape (or whatever they use now) was damaged. Either that or McCreary added that glitchy sound?

Kev, you are a right-thinking good dude, that's all I'm saying regarding a once loved show. About zombies. Right?
So the decline of civilization keeps on.....

This is deliberately vague, because I don't want to get all upset again, but I was pissed mid season & truly upset on Sunday...over a freaking TV show. The way it was all handled was just.....go read the under 36 pages of graphic novel that comprise these two episodes. It's very interesting.

The zombies in this show have become a bit of an irrelevance for some time now.
They're just there, to stumble into view when needed and deliver the odd shock attack/death or crowd chase sequence.
They could easily be removed from proceedings now and the series just follow a GANGS OF NEW AMERICA style scenario. I doubt we'd hardly notice them gone. Rick's dangling shenanigans (and foggy avoidance sans any weapon) in the latest episode was laughable.
