There are some scores by the mighty Graeme Revell that I would like to see released on CD.

My most wanted are FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (mind-blowing choral action parts!) and SPAWN (amazing modern superhero score!). Maybe BATS and/or TITAN A.E as well.

I also read somewhere that there is some kind of issue with DEAD CALM, but can't remember now what it was...

Sign me up as well. Just recently revisited Child's Play 2 on blu-ray and easily the score of his I'd like to see get a release. From Dusk Till Dawn is great as well, can't recall Spawn or Dead Calm but would be interested in them as well.

Child's Play 2 is also on the top of my list, love the kind of "epic" quality of the main theme - unexpected for a movie about a small killer doll.

Dead Calm is great with its mix of voices, percusion and synths, but I remember reading on another thread that the tapes were dumped/destroyed - if I remeber correctly or if it actually happened I can not confirm. But I believe they could try to use the same strategy adopted on the Friday The 13 first 5 movies, using music only film mixes if they do exist.

To me, his greatest score, happens to be an unreleased one, his rejected score to "The 13th Warrior". He said in an interview that he kept the rights to it; perhaps one day a nice deluxe edition of this can occur.

Another nice and smaller score, that I recall really liking from what I heard in the film, that's also unreleased, is "Suicide Kings".

I really liked his unreleased score, more in a vein people wouldn't expect from Revell, for the film "The Crush". Well, at least half of it. It was kind of a mixed bag on some cues.

And then there's his arrangements and new material for yet another unreleased score, "Psycho IV".

I'll also toss in a vote for "Child's Play 2".

A number of goodies unreleased, yet we can get sonic drones and crap from him on CD.

I wonder what "Riddick" sounds like, as that new score had a release announced, but then it was cancelled.

Go here if you want From Dusk Till Dawn

I think that's the one, I can't hear it right now.

"No, there isn’t any chance of a release of Dead Calm because there was never a master recording of the music. At that time, George Miller was very interested in the new Harrison mixing board that came out so he multi-tracked the music in studio alongside the sound effects because he wanted to create an over all soundscape for the film where the music and the effects weren’t really in different stems, as we call them. The only music mix that ever existed was what they did for the music where elements of the music sort of come and go in a very dramatic way so half way through one of the opera pieces the voice just disappears. So it’s very unfortunate that the only recording I ever got of it was a ¼ inch dub of that. I will one day go back to the whole score and build it into a broader work, I think. " (Graeme Revell)

The Jackal !!!!

Not by Revell but one of my last few holy grails!!!

My fave score by Revell is probably Strange Days. Also quite an underrated film

Well, MV said on another treat that SPAWN could be a possibility, so fingers crossed!

Great scores but this fan would also like to suggest a few that has not yet been mentioned and they are:

Idle Hands - that single track on the song album is making me hear the rest of the score.

The Big Hit - Nice theme featured on the song album but I want more score.

Goal had two score tracks and it is not enough.

Three To Tango is a nice change of pace for him, he proved that he could write romantic score.

Blow is a score with several nice moments.

Anne Frank - his take on that famous girls life is yet another one worth mentioning.

and a lot more, the list goes on and on.

Somebody on another treat has also suggested a Box with all FROM DUSK TILL DAWN scores, but I seriously doubt this could ever happen.

UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD

I remembered this with the news of an upcoming Criterion Bluray of the director's cut.
This is a masterful, contemplative score!!
I really hope someone could release the complete score officially!

Just bumping this as I think there's a pretty big amount of scores from Revell that would make a nice release.

SPAWN is pretty cool. The movie is absolutely terrible, but the score has charm for being what it is. E.g. there's this electronic harp motive for the Heat 16 bomb which is very atmospheric. Good stuff!

Red Planet, The Saint, Assault on Precinct 13, Out of Time and especially Chronicles of Riddick could also use the deluxe edition treatment ;-)

It's a real shame DEAD CALM hasn't been released yet. What's holding it up?

Of course, most of Revell's work is ghost written. He is great at doing innovation, like Dead Calm, but any orchestral stuff, let's ask Simonec.

I considered Spawn, listened to it and had to pass. It's not one of his best efforts. Others, on the otherhand...most certainly
