Looks wonderful! It was for me, see, the stars were in alignment and my wife and I were just going to see a few shows, visit relatives, and meet old friends and make some new ones. Ron has got to be THE collector! Ron arrived wheeling an airline approved for overhead storage sized bag that was filled with rare pieces and one of a kind pieces that belonged to just him when I knew I was going to need more than just a couple of vodka/tonics. He had a binder this thick, with enough autographs of the golden age composers to choke, even Charles Gerhardt. marcgothic who sat on my right shared many of the same childhood memories as one contemporary to another (admitting to me that he was three years younger with a healthy interest in all things Hammer. He was a joy. And Josh, who sat right across from me, may be the youngest guy there I think, besides Thor, both of them though are young enough to be my sons, and wonderful to hear their views on films and music. Everyone was very sweet, actually. I'm thinking of Thor, lifting his glass, thanking us all and all of us clinking glasses. My favorite moment. I used to go to New York regularly, my father was born in Rochester, but since my geezer years... well I haven't been there since the Morricone concert! p.s. indeed with each visit over the years crime seemed to decrease. Felt safe. I began going to high school in Manhattan in 1966, college in the early seventies and worked in the City through 1989 when I moved to L.A. In all those years, the so-called dark years, I had some of the best times of my life. Sort of miss the dirty, old city. And being a native, never felt unsafe.

Great pictures Thor! How was Boston by the way? Was there much to see aside from the Williams gig? Sure. This and that. I wrote a report about that part of the trip for JWFAN, since those were the guys I met up there: http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23903&page=7#entry1013893 I posted this picture on Facebook, but I guess it's OK to post here too -- a 'selfie' taken in front of the madness at Boston Symphony Hall: Geez, is John that much of a "pop star"? I'm surprised.
