Tangerine Dream was a perfect match for atmosphere of the game. I'm hoping a CD edition will eventuate.

So far I'm liking it, it has a very late 80's score sound, something you could easily confuse for Jan Hammer; I bought it on the hope that the pause menu music would be on there but it appears it's a different mix/recording though I haven't actually played the game.

The more I've been listening today, the more I'm liking this. Even though there are gameplay moments I'm missing, what IS here is fine... there are some very good tracks. I love the mysterious, atmospheric "Blaine County Sunrise" .

A good score album. 2 CDs ... or 3 - would have been great big grin , but go for the download on this, a solid TD release.

To put my next comments in context, I'm a massive fan of Tangerine Dream and own hundreds (no exaggeration) of CDs. It's with a heavy heart that I say that I'm very disappointed with this release. Having played GTA5, I'd say that the album should be renamed "GTA5: The boring bits".
With such a wealth of music, why choose these cuts to release? There has been such a wealth of quality recent TD releases, I'd forgotten that, in the 90s and 2000s, I bought a TD Cd for the odd genius track amoungst a host of bland, muzak at best, tracks. This CD reminds me of those days, because there is a couple of effective pieces of music: "Blaine County Sunrise" being one of them.
I hope I'm just being jaded and that the comp will grow on me. In contrast, from what I've heard, their parallel release "Chandra The Phantom Ferry Part 2" sounds like classic TD. But, with their high CD prices and unrealistic P&P charges, it'll be some time before I hear that album and the Sorcerer 2014 release.

Give it a few spins. I was disappointed at some of the track choices, but what is there has grown on me. I like it quite a bit.

And Chandra , Sorcerer will be available on Amazon at better prices soon.

I will give it a go. There are three accessible tracks on there, I've found, but others might improve on successive hearings. Never say "never"! :-)

Got the CD. It's a rock solid release, no doubt about that. I haven't played the game, so I don't have any preconceived ideas about how the music should sound.

A little minus that there are very little (if any) guitar on the album.

But Edgar still has it as a 70-year old...
