Thanks for the review , John - it sounds like I have to see it now - thankfully one Marcus still has the 2-D version playing another week.
Liam McIntyre was one of my main reasons to see it -- he did a great job as Spartacus - certainly in the last season, he was as good as his predesessor , the late Andy Whitfield.
Well, he's not as buff in this, but so much better than the guy playing the titular hero.
I just felt sorry that this is all he could get after SPARTACUS. (Unless they filmed this before SPARTACUS, and just released it recently...)
Anyway, McIntire virtually carries the film. (Makes me wonder if they enlarged his part, when they realized Herc wasn't going to be able to carry it...)
We can discuss more at some point, when the release is over, and spoilers won't matter.
A friend of mine saw this on Bluray and liked the score but when he got the download off iTunes he told me all the great choral music was either stripped from the score or left off.
