Sepia is of course gray area on this board since all (or most) of their releases are public domain releases, but they are among my heroes. On the very same day they are releasing a "Wizard Of Oz" disk containing - for the first time on CD! - the complete Decca cast album. Something Decca has not been able to do since the dawn of the CD era...

A fine score with nice melodic passages, had the lp's years ago.MR Gould has given us solid scores like WINDJAMMER, HOLOCAUST ETC

Don't know if there are any Stereo tracks. The top right of the CD cover reads "Hi Fidelity Stereo." So, judging by their earlier "Windjammer" release, at least a few of the tracks will be in stereo.

I have also posted this in the other "Cinerama Holiday" thread that has appeared.... My copy arrived yesterday and i'm very pleased with it. As Moviebuff has said, what we have here are the raw Oyster Bay tapes. I think that most of the tracks are in Stereo, it's just that the separation is not particularly pronounced ! It's better on some tracks than others. The original tracks from the LP sound terrific though, as Mercury tracks always do. No attempt at editing had been done. The tracks are not in any sort of order, and the intro's & outros on every track are rather annoying. However, last night, I skipped through the movie on DVD, jotted down all the music tracks, and I now have a correct running order. I have also spent the afternoon trimming all the intros/outros off. I now have a copy with just the music, in the correct running order. I also have three tracks from the new CD that I can't place in the movie ? Maybe they are alternatives, or deleted scenes ?? If you love this score, as I do, it's well worth getting this new CD. Some of the arrangements in the movie are "sketchier" than on the LP, so, you may want to substitute some tracks ? Here is the correct track sequence, as they appear in the movie. I have combined tracks from the LP and the new CD. Many of the track titles on the CD are misleading as they bear no resemblance to the scene in question. I have made amendments after the new CD titles. Here goes ! : Overture Main Title - Cinerama Holiday March Interior Theatre (Prologue) Over The Alps (LP Release) Swiss Train Cartoon To Bobsled Skating Waltz (LP Release) Out West (LP Release) New Hampshire Scenic, Opening & Insert New England Carnival Music (Long Version) New England Carnival Music (Love's Old Sweet Song) New Hampshire Closing Sequence On The Slopes (LP Release) Skiers (LP Release) Hup-Sa-Sa (Bertely Studer And Ernst Berchtold) (LP Release) End of Act:1 / Intermission Tag (Swiss Waltz) Entr'acte (Paris Waltz #2) Paris Paris Part II Paris Promenade Part A Notre Dame To Art Class The Louvre (LP Release) Holiday In Rio ( The Lido ) (LP Release) Early Morning Market And Bike Ride Joan Of Arc / Les Invalides - Napoleon Arc De Triomphe Arc De Triomphe End Section Brighter Sea on Rocks / Washington / New York ( Exterior Theatre ) New York Ancillary Music The Carrier Catapult (Jets launching from Carrier) Hail To Our Land (The United States Naval Academy Choir) (Cinerama Holiday LP Release) Finale Second Section Exit Music These tracks don't seem to be in the finished movie ? : Aircraft Carrier Band Holiday Finale Finale Act II

You really would have thought Sepia would have done this in the first place. I agree. Thanks for doing all the homework on this one, CH-CD. Maybe someone here can figure out where the three remaining tracks go.
